The design

The Cavern Rug

Deep inside a cavern, light behaves differently — it pools, it softens, it turns ordinary surfaces into something atmospheric. The Cavern rug recreates that feeling on your floor: a hand-tufted heritage pattern in deep, moody tones that transforms a room from functional to evocative.

This is a rug for people who are not afraid of depth. A study panelled in dark wood. A master bedroom with charcoal walls. A home bar with leather seating. The Cavern does not lighten these spaces — it deepens them, intentionally.

Hand-tufted in Bhadohi from Pure New Zealand Wool with a 20mm pile that absorbs footsteps and ambient sound, making the room feel quieter, warmer, and more enclosed. The heritage pattern has been adapted from traditional Bhadohi designs with a tonal restraint that keeps it feeling contemporary.
