The design

The Caelra Rug

Caelra carries the sound of old Sanskrit — sky-touched, luminous. And the rug lives up to it. A traditional pattern rendered in warm, earthy tones that somehow still feels airy, as though sunlight has been woven directly into the fibres.

This is a versatile rug — equally at home under a rosewood coffee table in a Lucknow drawing room as it is in a Gurgaon apartment with Scandinavian furniture. The traditional motifs read as texture rather than ornamentation, making them compatible with both heritage and modern interiors.

Handwoven on traditional looms in Bhadohi from Pure New Zealand Wool. The hand-loom construction gives the surface a gentle ribbed texture that catches raking light beautifully — a detail you will notice most in the golden hour.
