The story

The Bean Rug

The Bean gets its name from the organic, kidney-like silhouette that gives it a sculptural quality no rectangle can match. Place it beside a bed and it becomes a soft island for bare feet. Set it in a reading nook and it defines the space without needing walls.

The traditional pattern within the freeform shape creates a beautiful tension — heritage motifs contained within a thoroughly contemporary outline. It is tradition refusing to sit still, and the result is magnetic.

Handcrafted in Bhadohi from Pure New Zealand Wool. The sculpted edge is finished by hand, each curve shaped with a precision that requires years of training. This is not a rectangular rug with corners trimmed off — it is purpose-built, start to finish.
