About This Design
The design

The Aurum Rug

Aurum — the Latin word for gold. Not the flashy kind. The kind that glows from within, the way afternoon sunlight turns a sandstone haveli wall into something transcendent. This abstract rug captures that warmth in wool, layering golden and amber tones into a composition that radiates quiet opulence.

The abstraction here is not random — it is painterly. Broad strokes of colour dissolve into one another the way watercolour bleeds on handmade paper. Each tonal transition was achieved by hand during tufting, not in post-production, which gives the surface a depth that photographs only hint at.

Hand-tufted in Bhadohi from Pure New Zealand Wool. The hand-tufting technique means no two Aurum rugs are identical — your piece is genuinely one of one.
