The design

The Arctic Rug

Some abstracts shout. The Arctic whispers. Its tonal palette — cool greys, soft whites, glacial blues — creates the visual equivalent of a deep breath. The design draws from the vast, quiet landscapes of frozen terrain — not literal, but emotional. There is a stillness here that works beautifully in bedrooms, meditation spaces, and reading corners where calm is not optional, it is essential.

Handwoven on traditional looms in Bhadohi from Pure New Zealand Wool. The hand-loom technique creates subtle tonal variation across the surface — each pass of the shuttle slightly different from the last, giving the rug a living, breathing quality.
